QUECHEE, Vt. The U.S. Postal Service has unveiled a new stamp, celebrating several of Vermont’s birds.

A dedication ceremony for “Winter Forever” stamps was held at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science in Quechee.

The birds these stamps will feature includes the black-capped chickadee, the northern cardinal, the blue jay and the red-bellied woodpecker.

The state of Vermont has harsh winters. The designs of these birds represent how resilient they are when out in the frigid temperatures.
