The emission consists of a leaf with nine stamps representing outer space, with many stars, colorful nebulae in the background and our solar system in the foreground. The design of the planets, their colors and textures were created based on NASA references. On the left appears the Sun and in sequence, respecting the order of the planets’ orbits, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune appear. The technique used was digital art.

Comandante Ferraz Antarctic Station

The seal celebrates the inauguration of the new Comandante Ferraz Antarctic Station, built by the Brazilian Navy. The photograph chosen to compose the seal brings an aerial image of the station, making it possible to capture, in addition to the natural landscape of the continent, all the modules and installations that comprise the structure of the new station. In the upper right corner we have the station’s logo and that is also the title of the broadcast. The techniques of photography and computer graphics were used.

Signs of the Zodiac Mandala

The leaf art is composed of the 12 signs already emitted on individual stamps, forming a mandala with the four central stamps. The upper left stamp shows the signs of Pisces, Aries and Taurus, as well as their ruling planets (Neptune, Mars and Venus respectively). At the top right are the signs of Gemini, Cancer and Leo, ruled by Mercury, the Moon and the Sun. The lower right stamp shows the signs of Virgo, Libra and Scorpio, whose rulers are Mercury, Venus and Pluto; and finally, the lower left seal unites the signs of Capricorn, Sagittarius and Aquarius, ruled by Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. All stamps have an illustration and symbol for each sign, and in the center is Planet Earth. The digital illustration technique was used.
