IPDA, Inc. and the Verband Philatelistischer Prüfer e. V. -VP- agree to a working relationship.
The Internet Philatelic Dealers Association, Inc (IPDA) and the Verband Philatelistischer Prüfer e. V. -VP- are pleased to announce they have agreed to a working relationship, starting 1 September 2018.
The IPDA is non-profit organization that was established in 2002 and is registered in the USA. It works globally to promote the integrity of philatelic dealers on the Internet and encourage the hobby of stamp collecting.
The Verband Philatelistischer Prüfer e. V. -VP- with their headquarters in Germany, was established in 2010. It is the most active and fast-growing society of philatelic experts in Germany and EU countries.
Their VP experts issue more than 7,000 certificates of authenticity per year.
In this rapidly changing philatelic climate, organizations need to work together, sharing information as well as philatelic ideas, and to position their added-value to their members and the philatelic community.
The members of the Verband Philatelistischer Prüfer e. V. -VP- are on hand as philatelic experts in their respective specialist fields to carry out philatelic expertising. Their task is to determine the genuineness and state of preservation of stamps, postal markings or other philatelic items and the detection of forgeries and faking of items submitted for expertising.
Through this cooperation, both organizations want to position each other’s activities among its members as well as sharing information. Where applicable, the organizations will also work together on projects.
The contact person for the Verband Philatelistischer Prüfer e. V. -VP- will be Mr. Axel Dörrenbach, CEO.
On behalf of himself, Mr. Dörrenbach recently became an IPDA member. The contact person on behalf of the IPDA is Europe Director, Peter C. A. de Jong.
