LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The Lexington Post Office and Steel City Pops are hosting an event to celebrate new scratch-and-sniff stamps.
The post office says it will hold a dedication ceremony at Steel City Pops 3 p.m. July 27 at the Summit at Fritz Farm.
Postal workers will offer a commemorative postmark at the event, and the first 100 customers to attend following the ceremony will receive a free pop from Steel City Pops.
The stamps show cold desserts on a stick, and you can scratch the stamp to reveal a scent.
“The Frozen Treats stamps offer the latest innovation in stamp design, which means you can add the sweet scent of summer to your cards and letters,” Lexington Postmaster Barbara Cardoza said.
