On May 6th, 2019, one postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Firefighters” was cancelled and put into circulation by “HayPost” CJSC within the framework of the solemn ceremony of handing over of fire trucks by Japan International Cooperation Agency to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

The postage stamp with nominal value of 330 AMD is printed in “Lowe Martin Group” printing house in Canada with a print-run of 30 000 pcs. The author of the stamps’ design is the chief designer of “HayPost” CJSC Vahagn Mkrtchyan.

The postage stamp depicts a fire truck on the background of the firefighters fighting against the fire. The postage stamp is designed in an artistic style with combination of blue and yellow contrasting colors symbolizing the fight of water and fire.

The postage stamp was cancelled by the Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia Feliks Tsolakyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Jun Yamada, the Chairman of the Board of “HayPost” CJSC Juan Pablo Gechidjian, the President of the Union of Philatelists of the RA Hovik Musayelyan.

The official cancellation ceremony was held in the presence of the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and high-rank officials.
